Tidal Wave is a Shoot the Chutes ride. You board a large boat and ascend up a lift. You then make a 180 degree turn and then go down the double dip drop into a huge splashdown finale. After the ride, you can stand on the bridge if you wish to ensure that you will be further soaked. Tidal Wave opened in 1988 in the Plaza de Fiesta section.
